Our Province and Diocese
The Anglican Communion is a worldwide group of churches comprising about 85 million members that follow the apostolic and catholic faith of the first millenia, as understood through the lens of the English Reformation. Our tradition is traditional, liturgical, and missional. We affirm the primary authority of the Bible, the catholic creeds (especially the Nicene Creed), the historic liturgical tradition of the universal Church, and the leadership of bishops.
The Anglican Church in North America tries to embody the diversity of the Christian faith today, embracing our catholic, reformed, and charismatic streams of thought and practice. This diversity is expressed through shared liturgical practice, using the 2019 Book of Common Prayer.
The Diocese of Cascadia covers Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Our bishop is the Right Reverend Kevin Allen, who is the founding bishop of our diocese. More information on our diocese can be found here: https://www.cascadiadiocese.org/
